FAQs

What should I expect on my first visit?

A thorough history will be taken along with a physical assessment, including: posture, range of motion, strength, balance, functional tests, joint and soft tissue mobility. A home exercise program and care plan will also be established.  Please wear clothes you are able to comfortably move around in during the evaluation.

What types of health insurance do you accept?
Do you take insurance?

Insurance ends up dictating how a therapist can treat, which ultimately affects patient outcomes. I want to be able to provide the best service for my patients without restrictions. This includes one-on-one care and longer treatment time spent with a therapist.  However, if applicable you can use your HSA (health savings account).

What is your new client procedure?

Once you book an appointment through our system Jane, you will receive a confirmation email to fill out our Intake Forms. It is pertinent you fill these out online within 48 hours (or sooner) of your appointment. Day of, please arrive promptly and be prepared to stay 50 minutes for your first visit. Please list all questions or concerns in your online forms. See the New Clients tab for more info.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No. With updated Direct Access Laws in Tenneesee, patients are able to receive up to 90 days of physical therapy treatment without consent from a physician.

What makes you different?

I treat the whole person. During the initial visit & evaluation, I will assess the main issue in detail but also look globally and locally at other minor contributing issues.  Depending on how complex the issue, the eval may span multiple visits. I am constantly reassessing and progressing the treatment as indicated. My techniques include: manual therapy (soft tissue and joint mobilization), dry needling, taping, cupping, therapeutic exercise, & neuromuscular reeducation.

What if I can't find an appointment?

Consistency of care/treatment plays a large role in your therapy outcomes. Therefore, depending on your diagnosis, we prefer to schedule out your visits to ensure we stay on track and meet your goals. In the event we do not have an available time for you, you will be added to the waitlist and contacted when our next spot becomes available.
